New York State has approved $265M+ in water quality and infrastructure grants to protect drinking water, reduce flooding and modernize aging systems. Investments support 175 projects statewide focused on clean water and climate resiliency.

The Port Authority has proposed a record $45 billion capital plan that will shape transportation across New York and New Jersey through 2035. The plan funds major airport upgrades, a rebuilt Midtown Bus Terminal, and improvements to bridges, tunnels and transit systems.

The Portal North Bridge has entered its final phase of construction, with the first trains scheduled to operate on the new bridge beginning Feb. 13. Once complete, the fixed-span structure will eliminate a major bottleneck on the Northeast Corridor.

New data shows three Hudson Valley roads rank among New York’s ten deadliest. Interstate 87, Route 9, and Route 9W all made the list, highlighting ongoing safety challenges on major corridors.

At NYSDOT, Dominguez oversees more than 8,500 professionals responsible for a system that includes over 113,000 highway lane miles, 17,400 bridges, a 3,500-mile passenger and freight rail network, nearly 500 aviation facilities, and dozens of seaports and transit operators statewide.
