Hopewell, Ewing, Hamilton and Lawrence have joined a lawsuit by the New
Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) against the Trenton
Water Works (TWW) regarding concerns for safe drinking water. Hopewell
Township became the latest to join the suit. Among the concerns cited are water
quality, lead water lines and infrastructure integrity. The four municipalities are
also calling for the TWW to become a regional water utility.
