The long-planned North Brunswick Train Station project is moving closer to construction after reaching a key milestone in the design process. NJ Transit approved the project’s 60% design phase, allowing the Middlesex County Improvement Authority to begin final engineering and design. The new station, planned along the Northeast Corridor near Route 1, is expected to relieve congestion for commuters. The project is part of Middlesex County’s broader economic development strategy and has received $50 million from the New Jersey Transportation Trust Fund.
