The proposed North Brunswick Train Station is moving closer to construction. With 60% design approval secured, the project is entering the final engineering and design stage.

The Hoboken Connect will be a new transit-centered district, combining historic restoration, new development and public open space at Hoboken Terminal.

The Secaucus-Meadowlands Transitway would create a dedicated transit link between Secaucus Junction, the Meadowlands, and Jersey City. NJ Transit has now approved $22.2 million to move the project closer to reality.

“With this purchase of 200 new multilevel rail cars, which brings the total of new rail cars ordered since 2018 under the Murphy administration to 374, NJ Transit is taking a major step toward ensuring consistent, dependable service,” said NJ Transit President and CEO Kris Kolluri.
