Bordentown secures state funding for local road improvements [centraljersey.com]

Bordentown Township has been awarded over $270,000 through the New Jersey Department of Transportation’s Fiscal Year 2026 Municipal Aid Grant Program to support repaving of Vine Way and Cherry Lane and improve road safety and travel conditions for local residents. The statewide Municipal Aid Program allocates funds for local transportation projects based on engineering merit, safety benefit and community impact. Municipalities receive 75 percent of funding when a construction contract is awarded and the remaining 25 percent when the project is completed. Local leaders said the investment will make essential improvements without placing additional burden on taxpayers and will benefit the surrounding neighborhood.
