The New Jersey Infrastructure Bank (NJ I-Bank) is an independent state financing authority that provides low-interest loans to municipalities, counties, regional authorities, and water purveyors in New Jersey. The primary goal of the NJ I-Bank is to finance local transportation and water quality infrastructure projects. The bank aims to enhance ground and surface water resources, ensure the safety of drinking water supplies, reduce roadway congestion, improve highway safety, and contribute to New Jersey’s role as a critical channel for commerce.
The NJ I-Bank offers various financing programs, including the New Jersey Water Bank (NJWB), the New Jersey Transportation Infrastructure Bank (NJTIB), and the New Jersey Resilience Infrastructure Bank (NJRIB). These programs provide low-cost state funds and assistance for water, transportation, and resiliency projects.
