Two years later: Gateway funding agreement continues to drive nation’s largest transit infrastructure project

Two years ago today, the Gateway Development Commission secured the full funding needed to advance the Hudson Tunnel Project—one of the largest infrastructure investments in U.S. history. Since then, construction has continued across multiple Gateway Program projects, moving New Jersey and New York closer to a modern, more reliable rail connection beneath the Hudson River.
