Federal judge strikes down New York’s controversial climate superfund law
A federal judge has blocked New York from enforcing its controversial Climate Change Superfund Act, which sought to collect $75 billion in legal damages from major energy, utility and fuel companies over the 25 years. The court found the program was beyond the limits of state law.
