A Morris Township ordinance banning natural gas, propane and fuel oil in new housing developments of 12 or more units is being challenged by the United States Department of Justice (DOJ). The DOJ filed a federal lawsuit against the ban on March 31 claiming it interferes with federal authority. The lawsuit seeks to declare the ban invalid and prevent the Township from enforcing it.
